Hi guys!

I'm still a noob at this, but is there any good way to order a knife from spyderco and have it send to Europe? ( Netherlands to be exact ).

What are your methods, and what is wise?

Spyderco knives in the Netherlands are about twice the number, but than in Euro's. And a lot of models are not even for sale here :-(

A simple Delica will cost me here about € 120,-
Paramillitary's € 200,- and above..

Is it worth it to order from America, and have it sended here.

Thnx in advance!

For what it's worth, I ship to Switzerland often. With shipping and taxes, I don't save much money, but there are slim pickings over here anyway.

Hi iMarcoU, why don't you order on UK, German or French cutlery website ? I'm sure many of them are shipping abroad inside the EU. Plus, you won't have any problem at all with the customs since it's intra EU shipping... I heard (so not 100% sure since i've not experienced it) that importing knives from US may randomly results in extra customs fees, so in the end you pay the same.

I'm ordering most of my knives on this website (don't know if we are authorized to post links to online traders so i'll just say the name) : Coutellerie Tourangelle, I find that prices are quite low (70€ for a delica 4 saber grind and 15€ for EU shipping), website is in french but nothing google translate cannot handle, had no problems with them yet.

It probably is not worth it because US sellers will usually write the actual value on the package. As a result, the package will be delayed for customs clearance and you will have to pay import tax + clearance fees.

Postage is another factor. USPS First Class International is not too expensive and with hundreds of packages ordered from the US, none was ever lost.
However... often the seller will only use the far more expensive Priority Mail International® Small Flat Rate Box which even for a small box would cost $26.50

The Coutellerie Tourangelle website that Worjester is referring to, is also in English language so that might be a good option.
Heinnie Haynes in the UK might also be an alternative.

I've ordered some spydercos from knifecenter.
Living in Norway i save maybe 70$ on a paramilitary 2
compared to buying it at a local shop.
Still have to pay 200$ thoug..

Yes, we got knivesandtools. Also a reseller, sometimes they have good offers, but not al models..

i know how you feel... also one of the reasons why i started to switch to european manufacturers.
depends on where you order you can save some money, as mentioned, usps first class works nice.
also might want to try lamnia... and there is a french reseller on ebay with decent prices as well.

I order and ship to SEA from knifeworks.com. I have had zero issues. However, this is not Netherlands and I would assume you must pay customs and etc. Of course, it might be worth it to get the model you want. Only you can decide that.
