Front Button on Sheath

I was going through all my sheaths looking for a distressed sheath and I came across a sheath that has a plain brass button on the front flap. This makes me think that it is a knock off but the 110 on the back bottom is BOLD. The looped leather for a belt seems shorter and not as wide. It has BUCK knives above the brass button with an R circled for a registered trademark. Is it real or fake?

I have a brass snap on a brown 110 sheath from 1993. The brass snap was first used on the model 401 Kalinga and model 402 Akouna, I think back in the 70's. It is likely real. DM

Thanks for your reply, David it is not a flimsy sheath. I must have 100 and this is the only one with a brass button with nothing on it.

I think real too. Too much other real "Buck" on it to be non Buck. Maybe that button just got missed in the stamping line.

Like this? What TAH said.
Personally I've never seen a smooth brass button on a (real) 110 sheath but it sounds like David has.

It also could be a replacement snap. Any cobbler or harness maker could replace a missing snap.

The snap and sheath are JUST like the one in DeSotoSky's picture with the same kind of brass button.Went to the link with fake switchblades and the sheath has a brass button just like the one I found.

I'm guessing David missed Joe's description that the brass button is plain. Perhaps this is the brown sheath David is referencing.
