front end parts?

Does anyone know what kind of steel most front end parts on american cars and trucks are? Parts like tie rod ends, rack and pinion sockets or (inner tie rod ends), drag links off of pickups and stuff like that> Cory

cory see if you can find a old timer at a salvage/dismantaler if he's selling it to scrap buyers he probaly knows what steel it is.
