Minor news, but I've updated the vB Advanced CPMS system that manages http://www.bladeforums.com - since this been updated, vB 3.7 features will now work with it.

You may experience some weirdness but things are working. There are now more thread titles displaying, and thread titles only display from forums that non-registered members can see, preventing "You do not have permission" errors from being experienced.

In addition, the global announcement about "limited access for non registered users" has been removed and replaced with a global notification that only displays to users who are not-logged in. Just some minor housekeeping, but I was tired of seeing the announcement all the time, and putting instructions giving people an incentive to register seemed like a good idea.

I keep getting the YOU ARE NOT A REGISTERED MEMBER page, even after I log in.
I followed the information in the FAQ, but still ended up on that page, even though
the system thanked me for logging in. I followed the link to this announcement, only to discover that I can post and am in fact logged in.

Just thought you would like to know that the redirection after logging in is sending the user back to the first page.

Thanks!

Joe

It is telling me that my user CP page isn't found...

"The requested URL /betaforum/usercp.php was not found on this server."

Edit: The link from the home page is working now (comment 6). Thanks!

Ther are 2 ways to access the User CP, one is in the blue horizontal bar, this one works. The other is on the upper right of the Homepage under "SITE NAVIGATION", this leads to an error message.

FWIW I've started a new thread expressely for bugs in the new vB version.

Ok, that's my fault, I forgot to change the links in the default settings of vB Advanced. They are updated.

I still get the YOU ARE NOT A REGISTERED MEMBER notice when I go to bladeforums.com. If I click on the forum navigation links on top of the page, my status as logged in is confirmed. I logged in 5 times this afternoon because that page told me I was not logged in and had limited access, all the while I was in fact logged in.

Not a big deal now that I know about it.

Joe
