I would be interested in knowing what Fiddleback knife works the best in your hand and carries in a front pocket....2FK, 3FK, Runt or something else?

Thanks!

I'd say the 2fk or the runt
To me the 3fk would be abit long especially while sitting

Runt or 2FK are the only ones I pocket carry. Everything else goes on the belt. And even those go on the belt depending on the pants and pocket contents for the day.

The Runt is deceiving. It looks like it's going to be too small to hold, but even for a guy with big hands, it fits very well. The contours give great control.

I know there have been some Runt reviews, but with the search function being down, I can't find them. Take a look at what Comprehensivist says in this thread though after his first initial hands on test of a Runt: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1206786-Trio-Exchange

I recently got and old school 3FK from MajorD which came with a RLo sheath with no pocket clip nor loop for a belt.

I love the 3FK and when I try to carry in my right front pocket I find it a bit long.

I'm waiting for a pocket sheath for a runt so I can try that one for pocket carry.

MajorD carried the 3FK in a cargo pocket which I understood to be mid leg and on the outside seam.

I pocket carry a Runt everyday and its perfect. I pocket carried a 2F Karda once in a while too, but the Runt is the winner in my opinion.

I carry this one frequently and it works great for me. If situated properly it even tucks in nicely when seated.

My current everyday isn't a Fiddleback but it is a family knife.
It is one that I tried only after Allen suggested I give it a try. I am really fond of the Minuteman pattern and didn't think I would like the Stingray's shorter handle but I couldn't have been more wrong. I have a Bushboot, an EDK and an Esquire that I carried frequently but now when I reach for a blade to slide in my pocket the stingray is what I grab.

I carry my Runt every day, on or off duty. Off duty, I tend to wear Liberty overalls most of the time (no belt worn options), so I carry one of my EDKardas in my front pocket.
Pictures of it in are in the 'whats in your pocket' thread.

Don't overlook the Esquire. Larger than a runt and 2FK, smaller than a 3FK. A lot of blade in a little package.

Allen heat treated mine today
I've just gotta figure out what scales to put on it. It MAY make me retire my runt

Runt and the 2FK both work. Here's how I carry my 2FK:

I EDC my Esquire or Bushcraft Karda in my front pocket in one of those KSF pocket sheaths. I just received a tapered tang Kephart though, and have actually been carrying that in the front pocket of my Carhartts for the last week without any real issue.

I've been testing out front pocket carrying my esquire (in an RLO setup) as opposed to my usual Hinderer XM18; gotta say, while I'm giving up a bit of blade, the esquire is plenty fine! Not to mention that Rick's in-pocket design is super comfortable for this profile! PS sorry for the crappy pics!
