I had a customer who really loves all things frontier so when he asked for a general outdoors/ hunting knife this was the first image that sprang to my mind. This knife was a joy to make and went together well. Please feel free to comment or critique. The double hamon was a pleasant surprise and I think the caribou antler compliments the black wood nicely. Again thanks for looking.

Steel: 1095
Pins: mosaic and stainless steel
Blade length: 6 inches

Nice looking knife. The textures and colors work nicely together. I'm just a bit curious about the pin placement.

Thank you for the comment. In regards to the pin placement I have actually laminated piece of spacer material running the entire length of each scale to bolster the joint so while not ideal having the pin there shouldn't effect it structurally. Also when I tried moving things around (pin placement and scale proportions) everything looked out of whack. So with a tight deadline and letting the customer know about it I decided to take the minor aestethic hit.
