Frontier Lockback

Does anyone have any information on this knife..It is a 4 inch long lockback w/brass bolsters and rosewood handles.Te name Frontier is on the tang and underneath tht is a powderhorn.On the opposite side of the tang is the no.4515 imperial stainless USA.On the blade is an etching that says Frontier Double Eagle.I bought this knife in 1979 at K-mart..I cant remember the price i paid.I'v heard of the Imperial name before,but not Frontier..

I had a couple of those in the 70's bought from Smoky Mountain Knifeworks but mine had black handles. They were made by Imperial, which if I remember correctly, was in Rhode Island. They were not expensive but were good sturdy lockbacks.
You might get some info on them if you email Smoky Mountain or Imperial, if they are still in business. You could also look them up in one of the Knife Value Guides you can find at Barnes and Noble bookstore. Hope this helps.
