Frost a Case contractor?

Frost's homepage claims a business connection with knife companies such as Case, Leatherman, DMT and Kershaw.

Has the knife industry really come down this road?

I can't tell you how glad I am Spyderco isn't listed there.

I wouldn't be too upset just yet. We may find that the importing / contract work they do for DMT for instance, might be the plastic bases for their sharpeners, or packaging materials. Maybe they contracted installing some knifemaking machinery for Case. Who knows?

I believe that Frost Cutlery is and has been an authorized Case dealer or distributor. Frost also used to (or still does) take standard Case knives and produce "limited" runs with them by etching the blades and putting them up in fancy boxes.

I don't believe that Frost has ever made knives for Case, if that's what you're getting at.

I don't think Frosts makes one knife... I think they buy, sell, distribute and market them...
I'm interested as to how they are involved with certain brands like DMT and Kabar.

Frost also had some "SFO's" made by Case. If im not mistaken The roman numeral tang stamp was for frost, correct me if im wrong.

As far as case and frost are concerned he has been known to purchase case knives and make them into comemmoratives, or change the handles around. He use to take case trappers and replace the handles with corolon counter top material and resale them. I believe case makes some now. The way to tell the difference is if the handle have pins, or are glued on (of course frosts are glued on). I cant remember can anyone remember who made the case kkk knives? I know case never authorized it. I cant remember if frost, or someone else made these certain ones? Can anyone shed a light on it? Anyone, know, or remember?
