So, i just bought a frost cutlery steel warrior. Its a great knife and i would get another like it. Is there anything i should watch out for when buying from frost. Ive heard the knives they make are kinda hit and miss.

They're mostly miss and have a tendency to break and sometimes injure their users, but yeah besides that, they're perfectly fine and totally safe to use.

Yea, i wouldn't invest too much money in Frost.
They are considered cheap but will cut things...sort of.
There are much better knives out there...don't settle for Frost.

Depends on what you do with it I guess. I've heard good things about them for carving wood (the slipjoints) but I'd go for something different myself.

As far as I know Frost isn't really even a manufacturer, it's just this big company that will put its name on whatever cheaply produced stuff a particular factory wants to have them brand. I think that's why there's the "Steel Warrior" line of Frost knives too, since there's actually several different ones of that name.

I have a 4-bladed congress slipjoint that is one of those "Steel Warrior" ones and it's not bad--then again it's certainly not fantastic. Other knives I've seen from Frost are just plain bad. They're not something you should really go out of your way to look for. If you see one at a gas station or something that looks okay just use your better judgement about whether it's any good based on what you want it for. Personally I think they make decent beater knives.

Isn't frost what the sell in packages of hundreds on the home shopping network?

"There's a dragon on the blade!"

Glad you like it.

It's not going to explode on you or anything, and you can cut stuff with one, but Frost Cutlery really isn't the level of quality that many people passionate about knives prefer.
