Some of the pimp jobs I have had in process for quite a while are finally starting to come together. You guys saw my Kreined Random Task last week. I have another good one this week. I like to call it a ZT0300CFSW. This project went through alot of starts and stops but I finally got the coating off the blade and got the blade stone washed. This knife has the front scale from a CF TAD gear ZT0300 and a reworked blade from a standard ZT0302. The pics on this one show the nice sparkle in the CF and on the blade, but, it really pops in person. Hope you fellers like it.

Very nice spiral! I like that combo...

...but now I have the urge to pop some bubble wrap.

that looks awesome spiral. really like the look of the blade with the CF. how did you go about the stonewashing?

That is gorgeous!! I have taken the finish off of one of my ZT0300's myself - can you tell me how you got the stripes off without rounding the edges of the grinds? They still look nice and crisp!

You start by asking about a dozen folks if they can do it. Eventually you can find someone with the proper equipment. This size job requires a big vibratory set up and ceramic media. I don't know the specifics, just that it really requires a professional and some expensive equipment. I was hoping I could do it with a 20 dollar rock tumbler from KB Toys.........:o;)

It looks........ok, I guess. :p
As OL would say, "I hate you" :D:D

Very nice my friend

Dustin, that looks VERY nice. Who did the stonewash on the blade?

A local guy I know that has a big machine shop. I had a BFC knife maker member lined up to do it before the media blasting fell through. This other guy just happened to know exactly how to handle the problem and had a slow day at the shop. Lucky me:D:thumbup:
