You don't see these everyday. Up for auction is a mint Benchmade Model 30 Rainbow Balisong Butterfly Knife. These were a limited run of 200 knives Benchmade did for The Edge Company 20-25 years ago. This is number 61 of 200. If I recall, the blade is the Weehawk." The blade measures 3.1 " , handle measures 4.1 ", total length open is approx 7.25". The golden rainbow finish is spectacular. I am the original owner of the knife and it has been stored in a protective pouch since the mid to late 80’s. In mint as-new condition. No box as I can’t find it. The original Benchmade branded cordura sheath is included in new condition. These blades are rare and don’t surface too often. Benchmade gave these blades a Ti Nitride finish which produces the rainbow colors. Functions flawlessly. Latch locks tight when closed and in the open position it locks up tight. This blade is a beauty. Never been sharpened, carried, or used. I flipped it a few times I recall when I bought it, but that was it....it was then put in to the collection and hasn't seen light until now. There is a pinhead sized cosmetic spot on the blade which came from the factory. This tiny spot is smooth and it appears to have been created during the finishing process. There are no other blemishes, marks, or issues. Guaranteed authentic and I offer a 100% refund if not satisfied.
