It's a fine knife but doesn't fill any gaps others I have don't already. I have a "thing" for smaller knives so I have quite a few. I used it to make the twig fire shown and to cut some vegetables up for supper. It worked marvelously at those tasks. I stropped it after use and it has a small mark on the spine from the firesteel. The knife has been in the leather SS sheath a time or two but the sheath has not been outdoors or carried. Have box, tissue, cardboard slip....
