I have a mint unused CS BUSH RANGER. It has been in my safe since it was purchased several years ago. I did a search and it doesn't look like this black powder coated blade is available through cold steel any longer. It is carbon V steel and made in USA. This is a factory second but there are no noticable flaws. If you are familiar, the reason it is a second is because of a cosmetic flaw. Maybe a grind angle or such. CS factory seconds are a great way to buy nice sharp knives for less than full price. It came from the factory with I believe a leather sheath. It is mint as well. $80 CONUS plus shipping and optional insurance.

Are you sure? It was sold to me as a recon scout and it matches the san mai recon scout on the factory websight? Any others with input here?

This is the Bush Ranger as William stated. The Recon Scout has a steel cross guard whereas yours is rubber. The Recon Scout is also much thicker. The Bush Ranger's swedge is also different from the Recon Scout.

Researching  :o It sure looks like your right. Thanks guys, retitled thread  Also new price after research this knife. I am sorry for the confusion, it is still a very nice knife, very sharp but priced too high. $80 plus shipping CONUS. Thanks for looking, c4man

does it have the number 2 stamped in the rear of the handle?

BTTT, for a very nice and super sharp CS! Thanks for looking at my price drop to $80, this is a good deal for a nice knife.

Another look at this very sharp cold steel knife with a price drop $65 New Years Eve special  :D
