SOLD Got this recently from a fellow forumite. It is a good solid knife, but just isn't my style I guess. On the blade is written "Laguiole Joker 440". It is 8.25" OA and I'd say the blade is about 3.75". The heft reminds me of my venerable 1970's Buck 110. Very nice handle scales which I take to be horn of some type. It is a back lock and has some attractive filework on the spine. Nice leather belt sheath included. SOLD Paypal is fine. Email, post here, or PM me if you want it. Thanks for looking.
A well informed fellow forumite sent me some information about this knife after my initial post, so I thought I would include it for anyone who is interested:
"It's not really a "Laguiole" which is a French design http://www.cutlerytogo.com/frenchknives.html even though it calls itself a Laguiole. Joker is a Spanish manufacturer http://www.cutlerytogo.com/cucjok.html and the knife in your picture is generally known as a "trail knife", a large working version developed from the Laguiole design, http://www.cutlerytogo.com/lagprestrail.html. The Joker's steel is probably 440A. The handle is quite likely horn."
