Actually the lock up is made a little bit before the blade. There is plenty of room for wear.

That sweet lil' knife is still there?? Harumph. I know CRKT gets a lot of flack these days, but this is one of their best, from back when they made 'em from decent materials. I've got one, it's a favorite gent's folder.
