FSH and HOFSH balance differences

Would someone out there who has both please enlighten me on how the standard and heavy ordnance Steel Hearts compare to each other in feel? I am sure the HOFSH is heavier, but I wonder about how it compares in chopping power. The standard FSH has a 1/2" wide (or so) stretch of full stock thickness running out towards the tip for most of the blade. The full flat grind of the HOFSH would make the blade lighter in relation to the full tang. Anyone notice how much of a difference there is? I mean, I know both are cool and both are nigh indestructible, and while I like both I wonder if the standard doesn't edge the HO out in weight to performance ratio (as a chopper).

But I could be very wrong...

The HOFSH's haven't started shippin AFAIK.

They are due out soon. There was a threead recently about them.

Hmmm...well, I may resurrect this, then---unless anyone remembers anything from Blade. :)

Sorry, sworn to secrecy...

(actually, I'd be very surprised if any of the hogs remember anything from Blade...)

I remembered how to get home! There weren't any HOFSH at Blade to handle, only the FSH.
I wish my HOFSH would arrive!

They can't move them all at once or it will upset the rotation of the Earth about it's axis! Kinda like what happens when all of the HOGS go to Atlanta...

I am gonna gues that the balance should be very similar if not identical... the only major difference in the two designs is overall thickness. proportionally they should be very near the same I think. 5'll get you 10 that the HOFSH is a beter heavy chopper though what with that extra weight behind it.

We have shipped a boat load of HOG HEARTS. . . I don't know who got 'em . .. but we shipped 'em awhile ago. . . . :D

There may not be much difference, but a Camp Tramp is noticeably more blade heavy than a Basic 7 and the biggest difference between them is also the 3/4 height vs. full height grind. I guess I'll need both to sate my curiosity. :)

It is quite right, however, that I should have remembered the Chemical Memory Wash (read: CBL part with Jerry) that takes place before leaving Blade. ;)

Assuming this means they went out two weeks ago I'm going to start stalking our Mail Mam immediately:D
