FSH or FBM?

I just purchased this on the exchange. I don't have it yet, it's on the way. It was listed as a Fusion Steel Heart (FSH) variant.....however I saw one that looked nearly identical to it on the Busse Custom Shop website under large blades gallery, and it was labeled Fusion Battle Mistress (FBM) pic 79. Did I snag a nuclear FSH or FBM? Either way I'm thrilled, maybe even more so if it is an FBM. It's definitely FAT! I'm planning on using this one if it feels as good as it looks.

I guess I'll be able to measure and compare it to my CGFBM when I get it, but I'm dying with anticipation and had to get some other opinions.

Link to busse combat custom shop website please,BTW nice knife

Take out the combat put the three words together and type .com on the end... bussecustomshop.com is what you are looking for.

bussecombat.com is an entirely different product line where regular production runs are available, mixing the two together won't get you what you are looking for.

On top of that, there are limited run specials that become available that ship almost immediately from bussecompanystore.com

Bookmarking these sites previously has been very helpful for answering this type of question, even though I thought they were in the sticky posts one has to scroll past to click on the front page threads. ;)

edit: It looks like the stickies need to be updated since none contain the recently launched bussecustomshop.com link... Mods?

Thanks for the link. Indeed it does look like Peter's knife. Did the normal FSH have an 8" blade?

Yeah, right near 8" I think... after a quick check on the specs page here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=736811 I borrowed these specs:
FSH (Saber grind) = 19.5 oz; .25" thick; 8" blade; 14" oal
FSH (full flat grind) = 22 oz; .27” thick; 8.1875” blade; 14.4” oal

HHFSH (Saber grind) (micarta) = 23.5 oz; .27” thick; 8.1875” blade; 14.4” oal
HHFSH (Saber grind) (G10)…... = 25 oz; .27” thick; 8.1875” blade; 14.4” oal

Edit: The specs on that .25 version seemed off a bit weight wise.
Mine is one of the early convex saber .25 versions (very similar primary grind to the NMSFNO and NMFBM) and it weighs a little over 24 oz with the standard thickness G10 handles... micarta slabs might be an oz lighter at most.

Your new one at .32 should be a very impressive blade to use.

Matt, how about I give you my satin SHSH for your 30th? That way you'll have a nice Steel Heart to compare it to? Happy early birthday buddy! PM me your address.

Wow! I am speechless Eric. What a generous offer......PM incoming!!!!

AZTimT, good eye. That was Peter's knife, I picked it up from him (Great guy to deal with). Loved the knife, just never used it. You know how it works, off to the Exchange. When I measured it was an 8 inch blade. 13Ninjas should have it tomorrow, that might settle things.

Easy way to remember is when talking FUSION Series, if it's 8"ish blade it's a Heart, if it's 10"-11.5"ish then it's a Mistress. I am talking Fusion hilts here, not like the 8" NMSFNO. In the Heart's you can have FSH, HHFSH, HOGFSH and MOASH then of coarse any of the variants which that is what yours is and a BEAUTY to boot. I remember when this one was offered!!! SWEEEEEEEEEEEET... Congrats:thumbup:
