Ft. Turner Dimensions

I've been pondering the idea of getting a Ft. Turner 'hawk (Iroquois probably) in the near future, but I'm kind of on the fence about it since the only dimensions I can find are 3.5" cutting edge and 18" haft, which sounds somewhat small to me. I know that Dana does custom work, but it would be nice to have a frame of reference as far as size goes so I can provide accurate design specs.

The standard Ft Turner Iroquois is a bit smallish. I had Dana make me a larger version which didn't cost much more than the standard one.

For reference, here's a photo of the standard Ft Turner Iroquois sandwiched between a Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk and my custom larger Ft Turner Iroquois:

The irony is a couple years later I pimped a couple CS Norse Hawks and liked the cutting ability and utility of that trumpet-shaped bit. Figuring if CS was good, Ft Turner would be better, I bought a Ft Turner "Buck Hawk" and mounted it on a longer haft. It has become my favorite tomahawk.

Yea, that seems like a better size. I'm guessing you probably added 1-1.5" to the original Iroquois dimensions? The primary job of the 'hawk would be a woods tool, and i'll probably have a hammer poll added. Those are all some nice looking 'hawks by the way.
