Ft Turner sheaths: Safe carrying sharp hawks ?

Hello everyone - For some reason, I'm not able to do a search on this forum (I get the page saying to try to reload the website address every time.) So please pardon me if this has been asked before. I'm thinking about getting one of the Ft Turner Camp Tomahawks with the hardened pole to use for camping & other outdoor activities. I see that they offer sheaths for these hawks, but from their website they all seem to use only lacing - likely in order to keep a nice authentic look. My small axes (Granfors & Wetterlings) use rivets in the sheath along the side closest to the axe edge. I'm concerned about the safety of carrying the Ft Turner (especially if I were to put a really sharp edge on it) and having the edge cut though the lacing if I were to stumble and fall. If any Ft Turner owners can tell me a little more about how their sheaths might be constructed and the safety issue I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, - -
