Not mine. Larry emailed me this photo and I thought you might like to see it.

Yes, Larry's talent is utterly amazing.
Besides the beautiful dagger, that sheath is an outstanding work of art.
He just keeps cranking them out.

Here's a few more photos from the CKCA forum:

Wow, that is unreal.

What is the handle material? Some sort of horn?

Here's some details on the knife & sheath:

Carved Damascus Art Dagger
Blade – 9.5 inch carved ladder pattern Damascus steel
OAL - 15.5 inches
Handle – Carved fossil walrus ivory
Fittings – carved blued steel with 18 k rose gold spacer
Custom sheath with blued steel throat and tip and carved 18 k
Rose gold and Damascus steel overlays. Sheath overlay is black ray skin.

Ah, the amazing carving art of a world class bladesmith....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Mr. Fuegen's work is something I aspire to.... don't think I'll ever get there but I have to have goals to guide me. :p My father in law's best friend has a Fuegen he totes around at the Rendevous and I look it over every time I see him.

Thanks for sharing the inspiration.

Pleasure seeing that Keith. I have been a huge fan of Larry Fuegen since seeing some of his knives several years ago.

He has an amazing variety of skills and he does much if not most of his work by hand.

Spectacular. The close-up shots really reveal the maker's attention to detail. One of these days I will break down and buy a dagger.
