Greetings all,

Well, awhile back I traded away my TankBuster. Now, I'm a big fan of the TB...IMHO, for my needs, it is a darn near ideal 'hard use' field knife. Not too big, not to small, the strength of 6 x .25 inch saber ground INFI, enough belly to be usable in many tasks, a strong tip, slides right into a SpecOps sheath, etc etc etc. There is just something confidence inspiring in its heft and design. If I were to get the call that I had to go into a rough use situation, I gladly put the TB on my belt/pack. Failure does not appear in its nature.

Now, don't get me wrong, I was happy with the trade...I got a nice knife out of it, but...there was a small nagging that I shouldn't have let the TB go...its just that good. Well, long story short, the fellow I had traded to found the TB wasn't exactly what he was after, and we managed a deal that brought my TB home, with a pretty decent sharpening to boot.

It's not often you get to rectify such a matter...I think I'll be keeping this one home from now on.

The TankBuster is one of my favorites, I am sure it won't let you down!

I'll agree with that, It's a combo, batac, SJtac, old vietnam bowie style blade, and as you can see, I love mine with the rounded back.. Yes, always a plus when you don't have to buy a custom sheath... spec ops sheaths are my favorites. Team Gemini fits perfect in the 8" version

I've let go all the ones on the right except for one, but yep, its one indestructible package

When the TB came out, I just couldn't convince myself that it was going to get much use. Josh convinced me to pull the trigger on a bama clay one, and I must say that I love trying to beat the snot out of it. Usually, it's the other way around, and my arms wears out. But, one of these days ;)

Lucky man to get it back. Looks like a WICKED edge they put on it for sure.

That is a beautful knife. I am glad to see it back to its rightful owner. I enjoyed it while I had it. I had a heck of a time putting that edge on there but it turned out nice. It was easier than reprofiling the proto boss jack, which had a really thick profile to it. I do all of them by hand on my grandfathers old stone and then go to the sand paper and mouse pad.
