I owned a Benchmade CQC-7 when they were first released and unfortunately was stolen. After that I purchased a CQC-7A when Emerson first started manufacturing himself. I ended up selling that off ten years ago to finance a fixed blade.

Now, a month till I turn 40, I just picked out (and purchased) a waved CQC-7 with tan scales. I guess after all these years the circle is complete! Lol

My CQC-7 Prestige came in on Thursday, and I have to say it's extremely impressive. It's been awhile since I owned an Emerson, but this seems more robust than the standard models I've had. I knew the tan g10 was coarser (which I love), but it feels like the scales are thicker.

So, am I just imagining this?

Yeah the tan and green scales increase the over all thickness about .050 thou ... Nice grab i want one in tan with stonewash "A" blade.
