Made a black walnut haft for my favourite thrower and things got carried away as often happens when snowed in :(
Wrapped the handle with hemp cord, dyed it and soaked it in carpenters glue, did a copper wrap at the top of the haft so of course had to make a copper sheath :D
Thin sheet copper over 6oz veggietan with some nice green verdigris and wrinkles, rivited with copper burrs.

Best regards

Robin

Thanks for your comments guys.
Chris, Winter is my time for making stock and playing with new techniques and materials. I very much enjoy working with copper. I've been spending time doing a lot of Native pieces for Ceremony. Spending some much needed time in the Sweat Lodge lately.

Best regards

Its probably the most individual mask that I've seen, it looks great.

Thanks bud. I was cleaning up my workshop and found the copper and seeing that cleaning was the last thing I wanted to do,, I made the sheath :D
I'm using the rest of the copper on a turtle shell shaker (ceremonial rattle).
I may post it here when it's finished.

Thanks and best regards

Robin
