I think a Slip-It Kiwi like that would find an audience, but I would not be part of it. Locking knives are legal here and I have no need or desire to visit the UK, so Slip-Its just seem like a step backward to me. For me, one of the appealing qualities of the Kiwi is the way it combines Spyderco's best features, the Spyderhole opener and the midlock, with the best feature of traditional slip joints, the double bolstered handle.
Full flat grind would be nice, but loss of the lock would be a price I'd not be willing to pay to get it. I'd rather send another one or three of mine out to Tom Krein.

I never liked the looks of the Kiwi until I saw the pic of the one Tom Krein worked on. Now I'm off to find one and see about sending it in. Damnit....
