Hello Folks.
I made this sword in 2007 in memory of my father. It was the first piece I made after his death. I am posting after so long, because I did not know how to post and a friend taught me.
The total length is 20 inches. This is a Roman Gladius inspired by the Brazilian style construction technique. I did a full bolster sculpted with file. The handle is Desert Ironwood scales.
The blade is double-edged with spear point.
This sword won the award for Best Damascus in Sao Paulo Knife Show 2007.
I was happy to honor my father with this piece.

Full integral knife seem needs some extra attentions in the work steps :)
Great pattern on the damascus :thumbup: It looks sort of a feather pattern with some modification :thumbup: Am I correct Eduardo?

WOW! Exceptional sword Eduardo. Anyone would be proud to say their son made such a beautiful sword. The damascus is amazing and the craftsmanship superb.
