Cherokee Rose. :)

Lots of good stuff today.
None for me, though. :thumbdn:

What's that other gizmo next to the two kardas on the YCS?

The (in)famous flattened awl. Shipped with a point and blunted in transit. A few minutes on a sander and you'll be able to poke a hole in your finger big enough to be the next proud member of the Safety Thread.:p:D

:eek:Sounds like the last thing I need.

Trust me, it is not something you want. I've been in the safety thread before and it wasn't fun!:o

Lovely blades though. I like the looks of the Yeti Hunter. It reminds me of the Kukri I saw online years ago that lead me here...

Today's YCS and true villager would make a great pairing...something to aspire towards to be sure! :D

I'm actually glad to hear that question asked. I was looking at the YCS at the house while waiting on this one and wondered exactly how you were supposed to use an awl with no point:confused: I was thinking I could sharpen it up real quick, but was trying to find a thread explaining the flat point in case there was a purpose that I wasn't seeing. I wonder how they get flattened in transit?

Some old timer correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking that the model they were using to make the awl from got the tip broke off and ever since then all the awls have had the blunt tip?

I know both I've seen had them.

Roger is correct, for the most part.

A second version is made for folks in the Southern part of the United States, only. It consists of a tool very similar over-all, but BENT in the middle, so that the ends are equi-distant from the center of the bend.

It is called....

called....

you ready????

A you all
