HAHA!
Yeah The Missus is still in Florida, enjoying the company of her sister and the sunshine. Meanwhile back at the ranch, I been working my tail off welding this, and grinding that and painting and sanding and man, you name it. I been up 'til the wee hours working. I just can't sleep when there is a full moon coming.
So I'm doing all the crazy weird stuff I been putting off all year. Basically its just shop stuff, like making a new bench. I like to work over a central bench in my shop. Its nice to be able to walk around it. I'm basically rebuilding the one I have, which has a nice 2" laminated top. The top is fine, but the legs are rickety. I hate that when I'm polishing or filing. Well they won't be rickety much longer. I welded-up a nice substructure for the top, made of 2" square tubing for the legs and 1" square for the legs. The legs will have adjustable 1200lb-rated level-mounts too.
While I'm at it, I'll toss a couple coats of clear poly on the benchtop and call it good. I'll post pics a little later this week when it all goes back together.
Thanks for reading all this drivel. Anyone else affected by the full moon?
