Does anyone know who sharpens them? I've tried but it's a hump. Should I send it to GSM?. Or what . Them tiny teeth are mostly gone. Or should I buy a new one? And finish destroying the old one. It worked hard. Cut miles of rope. I tried the lansky but it kinda helps but not perfect.

You could be the guinea pig, but you can also do what many have done and just sharpen the micro serrations out of it and treat it like a plain edge (obviously keeping the wider scallops, at least until they're gone, too).

I was thinking about that. It's nothing I would try though I would have to have somebody do it for me.

I got that tool. It really doesn't work that good. I think I'm going to send it to GSM for sharpening. I too am curious. I guess I'll call them Monday and see what I got to do to get them to sharpen it. Let's find out if they are worth a damn. I guess I'm the guinea pig
You could ask GSM to send it to whoever is in charge of finishing the machetes.

If you can sharpen a knife, you can do this. You just need a slightly more coarse stone to start the process off.

Thanks for the input. But I have ulterior motives. I want to see them sharpen this knife. I want to see what they're made of. If they do a crappy job then I know never to buy a cold steel again. If they do a really good job I'm still a customer then.

subbed to the thread for this

Well I called the GSM today and was on hold for 45 minutes. I finally got tired of hearing the advertisements for deer stands and blinds. Finally I just hung up. I was hoping that there wouldn't be a problem but if you can't get them on the phone it's useless. Sucks

Well here it is guys, I finally got through to GSM. There was a pleasant woman on the other line. She asked me if it was a voyager XL I said yes, she told me that there was a $10 charge. I agree cuz I already knew that. She sent me a email with the return authorization number. And instructions on where to mail it. It's looking good so far fellas she told me the reason why I had such a long wait is because it's hunting season coming up. Now we're going to send it back tomorrow and see what else happens

The addendum the woman I spoke to was in Oklahoma. It's a call center for the headquarters in Texas. I chatted with her to get more information out of her. She had no idea who stick man was. So I told her to go up the ladder and ask who Stickman is and tell them that we want him in the cold steel forums. So far so good

The woman doesn´t know who the Stickman is. The Stickman doesn´t know the forums. The forums don´t know how to send knives for sharpening. This is too GSMish for me.
