Out of curiosity, which do you think is the more popular model between the two?

In all honesty, I think BM would have blown this model out of the water if it came in the size between large and mini with the anodized dimples. Then again, I'm sure they made more $ having both these available.

Thanks.

By the way, I think I'd pick up a 630 for its uncommon folder size and the anodized dimples. And, put the 635 money toward a large Sebenza since I've been hearing that the 635 handle is small and may turn out to be uncomfortable.

Anyway... just thinking outloud.

:D

I had both and traded the Mini away. The grip was too small for me.The 630 is a keeper.Very sweet knife.

there's not much thats "mini" about the mini skirmish. although I bet when benchmade showed neil blackwood a 3.43" blade he had some nasty words for them D: As for the 635's handle size, if you have big hands it might be an issue but you have to have the right kind of big hands. I have larger than average hands but knives are smaller in my hand than some people with less impressive hand sizes since my fingers are skinny.

btw, the real full size skirmish has a >5" blade D:

I'm actually more of a fan of the Mini Skirmish. I look at it as more of a Gentleman's carry knife so I don't need a 5" blade on "out on the town" occasions.

I haven;t owned a full-size SKirmish, just the mini. I've handled big brother though. I'm happy with the mini. It's a beast of a knife.

i've handled both but have owned neither... these are big knives! i don't have very big hands so the only one that would be practical for me would be the mini, but both have a place in the knife world and both are pretty BA

I just got a full size skirmish - 630 - it's a beast and one sweet knife.

It is a POCKET FULL - no doubt, and there is NOOOOOOOOO WAY I could pull it out in a crowd of people that I didn't know.

With that being said - it is jewel like in its construction, and the size and weight are great if you have big hands.

I do not have a mini - I could not warm up to the design on the handles, and I tend to want to have the full size version of every knife.

If you have the means I recommend picking one up.

For normal EDC, I perfer the smaller one. I rarely carry a large blade unless I am camping and then it is a fixed blade.
