Hey. Am I the only nut who carries a full-size semi? Seems like most people here like the smaller Glocks. I'm just such a huge fan of Beretta, whenever I carry, Its my 96 all the way!

I know there are some 1911 carriers here...

H&K P7M13, here. Two-and-a-half pounds of steel and plastic, and 14 rounds of 9mm hollowpoints.

I might have considered the P7M8, but the grip is just too small for comfort, in my hands. So P7M13 it was.

Due to its shape, the P7's are sort of a cross between 'compact' and 'full-size'. The weight is definitely there, and it does inspire confidence - I always feel like I'm going to break plastic guns (I know, intellectually, that I won't, but they simply do not inspire the same level of confidence, in me).

Well, any time im on vacation somewhere in Florida, i bring my fanny pack holster with my glock 17 in it, holds 20 rounds of +P 9mm with the plus 2 bottom. I like not having to carry extra mags. But, for an EDC, i generally carry my Kel-Tec 9mm, it holds 11 rounds of 9mm +P Golden Saber in a package i can easily throw in my front pocket. It is DEAD reliable with this ammo. If i was stuck on carrying a FS gun, i would probably often leave it at home, more than i do with the KelTec, and remember the first rule of a gunfight...bring a gun. :) Of course it should be said that although i can carry a G17 with 20 rounds of 9mm, i cannot carry a Microtech HALO. :barf:

I currently EDC my USP 9 full size, give me 16 rounds in a pretty easy to shoot package. I'm looking for something smaller since I live where shorts and t-shirts are standard gear, and guy with a fanny pack is obviously carrying a gun. The USP9f does carry pretty well IWB on my frame though, so on occasion it rides there instead.
