Could you explain to me how do you make a full tang TRULLY flat after bladesmithing ???

I have an old 4X36 inch grinder that I use pretty much for flattening things out. Just get it close on the anvil and finish out the high spots on the platen!:)
 
Dear Crazy frenchman

The best way I know to make things flat is to spray dykem blue layout fluid on the part. Rub it on a full sheet of sandpaper on a flat surface. This will show you the high spots. Simply sand the high spots and repeat. I use a belt grinder to sand the high spots because its quick. Be sure to hit only the high spots.
