Yes, beautiful, and at the same price as the standard tang models! I have one of the old ones, and one of the chandan ones with pinned handles, but I'm tempted. Arguably the strongest Berk's special / Dui Chirra yet, and the first of it's kind.

Repeat after me, "I will not get out the Visa card, I will not get out the M/C..."

P.S. I know woods look darker on my screen, but that satisal sure looks like chandan to me. Lucky for me, because if it was neem or kapur or some of that striped stuff we saw on some of the FF's, I don't think I could resist.

Yangdu, that full tang Dui Chirra with all the antler handle tools is so very tempting.
I am thinking yes, no, why, because.

mmm, very nice... the phrase "full tang" is confusing me. aren't they all full tang (if rat tang?) guess i'm going to have to look up the different kinds of tangs again.

Definitely one of the prettiest khuks I've ever seen. Thanks for showing it. Somebody got it already I hope.

The original Dui Chirra was made like the old khukuris with a partial tang that didn't go all the way through the buttcap. Many old khuks were made like that. The handle was held on by the laha only. Strong, but not as strong as the full tang.

ah, gotcha, thanx. i imagine a single small pin wouldn't hurt either.

then again, i do like the chiruwa 2 pin slab handles more. that's just me i guess.

Beautiful doesn't begin to say it. Wow. The lines of it just take my breath away.

Too bad it's a hand-made piece, just goes to show that those rotten kamis aren't up to doing quality work, eh? (NOT!!) :D

I can't believe it hasn't been snagged yet. If I had the two bills, I'd call it mine. That's one beutiful khuk. Glad you're back, Yangdu.

Nice to see you back online, Yangdu.
Beautiful knife, if I hadn't spent on that YCS.......

Last time when Uncle Bill still around it's called as Berk's Special .. isn't it?
I have one made by Bura as well! BTW .. check the cho in the above pict .. it is beautifully cut .. I consider it as one of Bura's mark in his khukuri workmanship!

Oh man, I HAD TO MISS THIS! ARGH! I was trying to sell fundraising shirts at a dirt track car racing show and I only sold one. I know one will find its way into my stable one of these days. Congrats to the lucky winner and glad Yangdu is back in business!
