Not my picture, but I often carry a BHK Patch Knife. Similar to this, only with green micarta. I prefer the FFG over their scandi or saber. Convenient little blade.

Here's a Matt Bailey EDC I usually have in my pocket. It's sharp as a razor and up for any tasks that comes along. Really great little carry knives at about 7-3/8" OAL & 3-1/2" blade length:

And here's another of the same model that's in my collection.

Where I work there has been increased scrutiny on folks carrying knives with blades 2.5" or longer. Additionally, as I wear a suit to work, I wanted to get my fixed blade out of my pocket. Rather than grinding down my Izula 2 to be less than 2.5" I did some research and discovered Joe Klemmer of Billabong Blades.

www.billabongblades.com

I asked Joe if his "Sundance" model could be made with a shorter blade and with thick 3/8" micarta scales. I told Joe that I needed the blade to be a hair less than 2.5" and he said he could make this happen. My idea became the "Sundance 2" model.

The Sundance 2 came out perfect! The blade is exactly 2.25", with a large comfortable handle, and 3/16" thick. The knife is made from forged 1095. Overall I am very satisfied as this knife will likely take everything I need to dish out and my security folks will have no issue with it. The sheath is outstanding too with a slight forward cant to it and Joe included a firesteel which I forgot to include in the below pictures.

Hi!

Recently added a North West Special by Ben Tendick to my EDC rotation and really love it so far. Great small knife!

Passed on two others to friends, but they were very nice as well. Here's the one we got in maroon micarta:

Seem to have misplaced the img of the spalted maple one atm. Will add that later on.

Best regards,
Alex

I carry a Bus Nealy Aikuchi one of the first when he started showing up at the ECCKS show, it has a distally tapered tang and was 1 of 7 he brought to the first show when he went full time.

The Crawford Framelock is still missing with my wallet, I bought both knives at the same show. :(

Hello!

Joe and Joe - Ben's NWSs are real winners in my book! I really enjoy it as a tiny fixed EDC knife.

Here's the spalted maple version I got for one of my friends:

And a quick group snap, before the other two left for their new homes:

To give you an idea about the size, here is mine in between some recent custom folders of mine (Dalibor Bergam Regulus and Don Hanson III Big Tac in popcorn-stag - the DH3 went straight out of a camelia-oil bath and a quick wipe-down didn't get off all the oil...)

And in between some recent smaller custom fixed knives of mine (Salem Straub Double Keyhole and Dionatam Franco damascus hunter):

And to get back on topic - the NWS has just the right size for my tiny-fixed EDC likes. Here it is next to one of my other full-tang EDCs, an older one by Farid Mehr in CPM-15V:

Best regards,
Alex
