Hey gang! For the sake of having something new and unique on my table at OKCA, myself and Travis Olsen rolled out fun and new-to-me full tang hatchet options. It doesn’t matter if you’re chopping, splitting, or throwing it at camp after a few beers these baddies GET WORK DONE! I have two of those first four left, one option with elk slabs and Willamette Valley Walnut on the other. I ground some contours into the slabs that yield three very ergonomic grip options. Forged out of 1075, roughly 4” bits and about 11” from top of the head to the base of the handle shafts. Some feedback inquires have wondered about handle vibrations or wrist shock (that was a new one to me) but after several hours of application in the apple orchard by my shop I can see it’s a comfortable and effective experience all the way.
