Full-tang puukko.

So, here's the cross between finnish puukko (style of 1930-1950's) and full-tang bushcraft knives.

I grind and sanded the blade from old leaf spring of a car. Side pieces of the grip are made from curly grained birch (treated with linseed oil), attached to blade with epoxy and three 4mm brass rods. Sheath from 1,8mm thick barked leather with alder liner inside.

Blade's measures are 100x20x5,5mm. Overall length of the knive is 220mm.




 
Looks like a a cool and well made knife. Great idea to make it a full tang with traditional puuko style.
Thank you! :) I've seen few full-tang puukkos made by my country men, so I decided to try it myself as well. This might be the first one made in this particular style, even though I can't be sure (don't want to step on anybody's toes now :D).
