Well its 9, and its the first time today I realized it was May 1st. As of today I have been full time for 9 years. YOU are the reasons I love this. Thank you for 9 great years of craftsmanship and friendship.

Congratulations! From what I've read, you were surprised those first few months after going full time that making knives could pay the bills. Funny how things that are meant to be just work themselves out. I only became interested in handmade knives & learned about Fiddleback Forge around the middle of last year, but I'm looking forward to your next nine years!

Congratulations! Your knives have changed the way I view fixed blades on both a practical and personal level. The apprentices of yours who have struck out on their own and found success are yet another testament to your talent and skill. You've packed a lot of success into 9 years, great job!

Congrats Andy! You have a lot to be proud of. Helped develop some great knife makers in the past 9 years and have created jobs for several more.
This!
I’ve only been on BF for a short time, but I’ve observed that your knives have brought together a unique and fun group of people who are some of the most helpful and amazing people in the knife-collecting world. Friendships have been forged here, and the passion that we share for your knives is the common factor.
Congrats, and here’s to many more years to come!

Congratulations Andy! And thank you for all that it took to “risk it all” and make your way in the knife making world. Likely everyone would agree that it’s not just about the knives after you get one or three, in your hands. It’s also about the friendship and community which you and those that have then become blade makers because of you, and all that work in your shop that foster this Fiddleback Forge spirit.

This is why I am trying to sort out the Tolkien calendar and another project before Autumn. It's going to be tight, but it may be easier since I will feel like I'm working somewhere other than Gollum's cave now :)

Thanks folks. Its been an honor to make these knives for y'all.

Wow 9 years?! I remember the pressures you struggled with during that transition. Your relentless dedication to your craft and never ending commitment to your customers is well proven. Thank you Andy, my friend, for all of the years. Happy Anniversary but better yet, CONGRATULATIONS! Best of luck with the current round of changes.
