Hey all,

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death in here a time or two, but I thought i'd open some new conversation on the topic.

The way I want to carry a multi-tool is to carry just that. I'll have an extra knife on me in my pocket at most times anyway. Now i've seen a few Leatherman's that had a fine file in place of the blade for a short time, and now these kids ones as well.

I hope i'm not beating a dead horse here. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Thanks, hope you all had a good weekend!

The cut off wheel on your Dremmel is your friend.

Longer answer...

I have several full sized MTs that I mentally put into 2 different categories.

For regular use in the shop and what not, I prefer something like the Wave. It's out a lot when I'm working and the external blade gets used quite a bit for quick cut this or that or for cutting really disgusting stuff like pesticide bags.

For regular EDC use, the MT rides in my pack as a back up to my EDC knife in my pocket. In this case (which is most days), the blade is extra weight and the blade never ever gets used. For this style of MT, I prefer all inboard tools and prefer no knife blade. But, as you note, you and I are among the very few - so few that the knifeless Fuse had a short run.

Options now include disassambly and reassembly modifications or just cutting of the blade with a Dremmel. I'm lazy and go that route.
