Hey folks,
i wanna get one of these Woodlore type of knives. Recently this type of blade seems to pop up everywhere. Nice though, since this design makes a perfect field blade. But now i have totally lost the overview... So, who makes them (production and semicustom). What is out there besides the Woodlore, Enzo and the Koster??? Pics are of course appriciated!!! :D
Thanks,

Karlson

Just got this one, on the left. The Bark River 'Liten Bror'

I would also look into Frosts full tangs on Ragweed Forge.

Blind Horse Knives just released a killer full-tang Boat Tail Scandi.

Brian Andrews of Off the Map knives has some beauties too.

though much different from the woodslore style scandi's, you should check out Blindehorse knives Dec, special, the "boat tail scandi"... i just put a thread up about it... i love the no nonsense simplistic design of it..

I've never handled or looked at the others mentioned, except for Brian Andrews. His Scandis are darn nice and I can safely say you would be more than happy with one of his knives.

Nick:)

How about a Condor Prototype, coming in 2010 (and you bet your behind it will be available)

+1 on Brian Andrews. Also, I got a full-tang scandi from Fiddleback the other day, and it is beyond impressive, I would imagine I will have a review up in the next few days, keep a look out.

I vote Brian Andrews. His knives are fantastic, I have one now and one on the way. I am very happy with my Koster as well though, and they can be found on the secondary market.

Another vote for Brian Andrews. I am also on his and fiddle backs list for another.

I would recommend Dan Koster. I modified the handle slightly to my tastes - but it is a damned fine knife. I would recommend the one in CPM 154. It is easier to sharpen and acts a lot like 01 (although tougher) and stainless.

Dan also made an 01 version a while back. Dan makes a HELL of a knife for 150.

Also I would recommend Bernie Garland of England - I have one of his on the way right now - it is PRICEY but 8 week turnaround.

I think Andy (Fiddleback) will do nothing but get better as well.

I just bought a Landi Hunter, and its awesome. Scandi was done by Blind Horse Knives.
I think he still has one up for sale on here.

I haven't handled one, but people seem to speak well of the Dozier.
