***SOLD***
I bought this Reese Weiland fully customized production CQC-8 some time back. I find it too beautiful to carry. Im not a collector, so Im offering it for sale.
This knife has not been used or carried since I bought it.
The 3.85 inch 154CM blade has been given a superb satin finish and ground to a scary sharp full vee grind with not even a hint of the original modified chisel left.
The liners have been anodized a deep blue.
Bolsters of polished titanium blue anodized to rich blue that reminds me of the charcoal blue on early Colt 1911s. They are a much richer color than even the photos show. There is a small amount of thinning of the blue on the lower forward portion of each and a couple of faint marks that can only be seen under the right light. There are a couple of hairline scratches that are difficult to notice without knowing to look for them.
The back spacer has been wonderfully file worked and accented.
The finishing touch is the mastodon bark ivory scales which are elegantly figured, smooth polished, warm to the touch.
You will not believe how the opening and closing action is on this knife. It can only be described as like a great custom. Smooth as butter, lock up perfect, no drag when you disengage the liner lock.
No pocket clip on this baby since it would ruin the symmetry.
