I got a fully SE g10/s30v milli for a crazy low price It's going to be be a nice counterpart to my CFBG42. I am hoping there is no catch as the price was very low and supposedly NIB. We shall see this weekend.

I've had my fully serrated milli for a while now and I too got it for a great price. I hope your works out as well as mine. I have gotten several Spyderco's cheap cause they were SE. I have been collecting them for a while now and they are the first knives I remember that had the "spyderedge". So it only makes sense to get them SE. However their PE are amazing too!!

The spydie edge Military is what turned me on to the benefits of a serrated edge. There is really very little it cannot do.

I edc a D2 para(PE)-my first and only spyderco. I've been wanting a millitary, because it's bigger, and I want to try some S30V. I also want to try a spyderedge knife, but I am scared that I will regret it over the plain edge.

Are SE knives also good for light use? opening food packages, opening and occasionally breaking down boxes, etc? Where do they fall behind?

I like the idea of serrations being able to bite into cuts, and how they will take more abuse than a plain edge (typically) and keep cutting.

I own and use both the DMT aligner, as well as a sharpmaker w/diamond rods.

I am a believer. I have found it very effective for EDC. It tears open boxes, clam shells, etc. with ease. Opens envelopes, though I don't get a clean cut.

Try for yourself something like a Spyderco Tenacious with spyder edge (serrated edge), which can be had in the mid $30 range. Nice knife, and it will get you hooked on the serrated edge.

I took your advice and have my first Spyderco on its way. A Tenacious fully serrated.

I am looking forward to it.

I am excited to receive it - it comes next wed. I kinda want an orange milli and I am in line for a Ti Milli. I am not sure how this happened but I seem to be developing a milli collecting habit all at once. I never saw the point of purchases within the same model but its rapidly growing on me.

At that price I would have gone for the SE. I'm normally PE and have been looking for a Millie for a while now but I wanted my first to be a PE. But at 88 bucks I might just give it a go.

well I decided to get a SE blade to help me decide which way to go with my millitary(girlfriend is getting me one for christmas).

I ended up ordering a waved SE Endura, with gray FRN handles.
