Mail came in. Bought a few fun knives. Boker Mermaid, Boker Automat Kalashnikov with 4.75" blade, and CIVIVI Bull Mastiff with larger 3.8" blade. My younger daughters love the Mermaid. It's got some heft to it. The Boker auto was because I wanted a large auto knife for cheap. It's not very snappy though, but it functions. The Bull Mastif is razor sharp, but the blade doesn't lock back down very tight once folded up. Again, another cheaper priced knife for fun though.

I have the Mastiff and it has no issues. Maybe a adjustment to the pivot screw is what yours needs.
