This is probably one of the nastiest knives we've made. It's rough folks, don't buy this if you're wanting a nice knife with fine fit and finish, symmetry and has not been hit much with a hammer.
This is a fun one-off that Mark and I made this afternoon after the main sale. Alcohol was involved in the construction and decision to sell this knife. It started off as fun screwing-off and turned into "hey this is cool we should sell that"
It's an old early A2 Shiv test knife that we re-ground. Mark did the hollows, I did the flats. These are coarse (like 60 grit) grinds. They're very imperfect. The scales are carbon fiber that had leprosy and had a lot of hand shaping (I've had a couple beers too). They're pretty far from "perfect" but they're light. In fact, with the 1/2" shorter tip and the deep hollow grinds this 1/4" thick 7 1/2" fighter weighs just under 11 ounces.
It's very good Latrobe A2 at HRC 59-60 sharpened 20 DPS. It balances on the first finger. It really wants to stab something. So, there you have it: it has been beating around the shop for years, we had a little fun and it turned into something pretty rough but very cool. We were just having fun with this, and maybe one of you guys would like to have it.
