I LOVE my shirogorov. It is just so fun to flip it and close it. Repeat 100x.

I am looking for another 'fun' knife. I absolutely love my PM2, it is another nice knife to mess with while you're watching a movie or something. Wish there were more higher end options, but can't find any.

What would be some knives to look at? What's your fun knife?

Biryukov # 12 front flipper
Cheburkov Strizh front flipper and thumbstud
Demko AD20.5
Civivi Exarch and Riffle
ZT 0095BLKS90 and 0470
WE Deacon

Almost everything I own is fun to a point, but those are my favorite. I also love OTF's.

Someone would have to sell me one. I can't buy one legally here.
I understand, here in Villainois you have to have your "Firearm Owner Identification Card aka FOID" to purchase or own an "automatic" or switchblade. So stupid.

Like a less finicky to take apart PM2. I feel like it is a taste of how high-end folders feel. You'll love it, and it is tough, and if you buy 10 dollar white scales, you can dye iit anything you like.

My scales were $40 shipped, with the lettering, so scale options are as cheap or expensive as you want.

I know I am in the minority here, but I just don't get the whole "fidget/fun" factor. Maybe it is because I'm not a huge fan of flippers, but even so - I don't get the fascination with repeatedly opening and closing a knife. o_O
I agree. Why add wear to your knife and creep out anyone else in the room?

That said, when automatic knives become legal in my state I will buy a nice OTF and will play with that a bit until the novelty wears off

3 years and the novelty hasn't worn off for me. Then again I'm a psycho.

I have to agree on the Demko AD20.5. It is a really fun knife to play with.

I would guess that it helps mollify anxiety -- of which many of our younger folks suffer (I'm 67 so young to me is anyone under 45). That said, folks my age typically depend on Rx to deal with crippling anxiety -- flipping a knife or somesuch never shut mine down as well as chemicals. Best wishes for whom this harmless activity helps lessen the burden.

I'm 43. Flipping/flicking a knife helped get me off anxiety meds. I kept building up a tolerance to them. Now, I take a clono maybe once every few months if I get a bad attack or if I can't sleep.

I’m very happy to know that. Too often we judge before we know what someone is dealing with. Good luck to you!

For years I took clonopin to sleep, constantly adjusting the dose since I rapidly habituated to them. Then my next doc cut me off benzo's. And put me on Neurontin, which works okay.
