Fun outing with the BK9!

So me and my buddy went on a hike today after he said he wanted to see the knife after the new patina.
Me and him went to a local area we like to shoot and hike around at and showed him what the beast can do!

It looks like it just belongs out there in the brush!
Me and him were batoning and chopping around some logs and dead trees, to his surprise he could not believe the bite the edge had after all that rough work!
He immediately fell inlove, he said it felt very well in the hand even though it was a heavy blade.
He was also surprised at how small of curls I could get while feathersticking with it.

We also found this neat little spider chilling in a tree next to us, saving us from the flies! Keep it going little man.

We're really excited to go camping this year and he said he has no problem using my BK2 when it comes here haha.
I'm thinking for his birthday gift later this year I'm going to get him a BK7.
Any body else have fun with their becker in the woods today?
 
No woods time here. But congrats on your new 9 and the patina. Looks pretty sweet!
 
Sounds like a fun trip. I wish we could carry the 9 legally in Texas.

It was a lot of fun, he said he didn't think he could find something as fun as shooting till he started chopping with the BK9!
And DunkEm, you might not be able to carry it but you can use it while hunting and camping probably, I'd read over the laws a couple of times.
 
Really cool! :thumbup: The most fun I every had with a Becker was the shelter contest, with the bk9. if you're interested, the thread is in the stickys...

Oh a shelter contest?! That sounds like a crap load of fun!

It's closed now, but the contest are usually once a month, I guess they aren't doing one this month because of the Gathering, the boss to busy maybe. :confused:
