  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Fun project – hatchet, how small can it be?

You've made a great job of that Samek, only thing is if you go for a light head it's an advantage if you can swing it fast. Yours would probably make a nice carver for push cutting?
I had a similar idea but made a very long handle for a head weighing just 8oz, under 5" tall.

This surprisingly chops really well with a total weight including the handle of just 11.5oz, or less than a can of Coke.
OK it isn't compact like yours but the head can easily be slid off for packing.

I like it Samek. What do you see as its make usage?

The obvious planning, sketching, and clean outcome really are commendable.

Also, I always enjoy seeing your sheath work

I dig it! I'd take that with me in the woods instead of a knife for any hike, day trip, or camping trip! That's the next thing I'm gonna find now! A small hatched head
