Wow, check out auction no. 6558329356. 225OT Son of a Gun folder going for more than I've seen one go for. I got one so I'm not playing, it'll be fun to see how high it goes.

I checked out the high bidders previous auctions and noticed he doesn't care what something cost. When you have people who don't care if they spend a million dollars on an Old Timer it makes it difficult to get things at a reasonable price.

The bottom WILL drop out of the newer Schrade collecting market once it's realized how many were produced.

There are some people who just "get caught up" in an auction and seem to have a "lapse" of reasoning and end up spending more money on a knife there, than they would in a store!

I once went to an auction where two men fought over rotted foam rubber that was fit only for the trash. The one who won paid over $60.00 for it! There's just something that can bring out the worst in people when it comes to auctions. Greed? Pride? The only excetion Ive seen is when something is auctioned to help someone.

211.52!

I guess he really wanted that knife, gonna be ticked when he sees one go for half that or less in a week or two.

I got one of those mint last Dec for $30. The dynamics of the pricing on these things continues to amaze me. Some models, like the 858, 25OT, and 227 UH seemed to shoot up right away after the closing, others have a time lag of more than a year. Now it looks like the bone heritage series is taking off. It would be nice if you could sell some of these "short", like stock... ;)

Been there, done that, got the T shirt.

I think were all guilty once or twice of chasing something with blinders on.
