There have been a few posts about the Damascus leek with the steel handle... and I got the hair up my rear to buy the leeks I wanted and mix and match them. Granted, this required 2 Leeks that aren't the cheapest, but you could do it with just about any combo. However, The G10 Leek is a bit different since the scales are thicker and require longer screws... so you can't swap out screws. It's also a liner lock compared to the frame lock but that wasn't a problem. Only a little different when putting them back together. Also, I'm pretty sure the torsion bar (spring) is a little longer on the damascus version. When I used the spring from the G10, it popped out of the blade during function. After piddling around quite a bit I ended up with 2 leeks I absolutely LOVE... and they are functionally perfect. i WOULD LOVE TO SEE OTHER VARIATIONS IN THIS POST... and let me know what you think!

I put my damascus blade in a Ti handle, I edc it 75% of the time. I love it.

I like the way the Damascus looks in the G10 handle. Didn't someone also try the Damascus in a polished G10 handle?

Here's my Random FrankenLeek built from three different Leeks.

Well, I went back into frankenleeks lab, because your pictures inspired me. I decided these could get more mileage if I adopted the Strider 1/2 G10, 1/2 Steel. I like them even better now...

I wanted to resurrect this thread for someone that was asking about my Damascus leek with Boron Coated handle. Yes, I created a frankenleek monster. The only Dam leek is a 1660DAM with a stainless steel bead-blasted finish.

Here's my frankenleeks. Both have S30V blades from the CKT Random Leeks.
I started to polish one and found out it was to much for me.
