Just about a week ago I took the wife and kids up to Big Bear, CA to do a little car camping. I have to say that it was a great break. We had just gotten back from Yosemite and though it is one of the wonders of the world the camp grounds are packed tight. The Big Bear camp grounds had a lot more space between you and your neighbor.

Anyway, here are a couple of pics of me using my BM-E to prepare the nights fire. I also have my BA-E strapped onto my right side but not visable in these pics.

Now we are off to the Grand Canyon for a week so I'll have some more fun with the Mistress. The BA-E, however, is off to get a BB or DCBB so it will miss this one :grumpy: .

I don't want to hear another word about how tough INFI is.

When you have to baby something with a rubber mallet that is a joke.

Would you like to borrow one of my back up Rats, T? It appears they will never be used otherwise.

:D

Send it my way T. I'm a taker.

I think we roasted some hot dogs that night. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. No worries fellow piglets and hogs. Not pork but beef. ;) And some tough to roast marsh mallows for the kiddies.

whaaa, that's not a mallet, it's a 3 lb sledge:eek:

cool pictures and usage man. I never thought to use a rubber hammer on my knives. I usually use whatever I can reach be it a wrench, another log, tire iron,Or another knife if worst comes to worst. Then again if you look at the spine of my swamprats you can tell too.

Thanks guys. I actually used a few limbs I gathered up but they broke on the spine of the Mistress. The rubber mallet worked great. It is super dense. And while my son thinks he's Thor the rubber hammer is safer for all those around esp. his sisiter. ;)

I do have a hard plastic mallet I am going to try this weekend. Pics to come.
