I love playing in Photoshop. I've done tutorials on how to design knives in PS and render them to look real. Anyone can do that tutorial because there was no drawing or painting involved. Sometimes though I just get the urge to see how real I can just paint something. Usually when I get that urge my subject of choice is women. I haven't done one in a while and I have to say this is the best I've ever done.

It's not from scratch, I worked from a photograph, but every pixel was put in by me in Photoshop CS.

I hope you like it.

Brandon, there's no doubt about it Photoshop is a great program, but I started doing graphics on my computer back when the only thing I had was the Paint program from my wordprocessing programs. Then I moved up to Adobe PhotoDeluxe, which wa a very basic program that came with my first printer. I used that program for years and I got good enough with it to do graphics work for makers like; Darrel Ralph, Kit Carson, Tim Herman, Rob Simonich, Ed Fowler and others. Better tools help you do better work, but it's always better to use what you have than to do nothing.

Here's an early painting I did in PhotoDeluxe.

I love Photoshop and Macs, too! And Illustrator! If you really want to paint get Painter (I think that's what it is called?). I've seen reviews in the mac mags and the textures and everything are unbelievable. Looks like paint! I would like to see that first one on the hood of a 70's Camaro! Sweet! :D
