When I asked my daughter if she wanted to go chop our pumpkins with a sword, she said "sure!" But then she turned apprehensive when I told her that she was doing the chopping.

She got over it quickly.

She does have great form, awesome to see you have a youngun to carry the torch(INFI) when you're too feeble.

nice one. I took some pumpkins to scouts to let them bash. I brought a big log round, and a battle axe with a heavy hammer poll on the back. great fun. I would be a bit worried about letting my son try it with an AK (or anything for that matter, as he is only 2 right now). I know if he lopped off any important bits I would never hear the end of it.
